What happened to Polly Finley?
While Davy was home from his second enlistment and several months after giving birth to their daughter Margaret, Polly died on June 11, 1815 at the age of 27. While no cause of death was established it is believed it may have been typhoid or cholera. Davy buried Polly on a hill near their cabin on their property.
