Saffron City is another big one, which the huge Silph Co. building in the centre – occupied by Team Rocket after you’ve cleared them out of Rocket Game Corner back in Celadon City – as well as both Sabrina’s Gym and the Fighting Dojo, a kind of mini-gym, to tackle too.
How do you get to the boss in Silph Co?
Silph Co. solution – the fastest route to Giovanni
- Take the lift to 5F and walk left in the hallway for a double battle with your Rival, against Team Rocket Admin Archer and a Grunt, who drops the Card Key.
- Go down to 3F via the lift, and use that Card Key to get to the central locked room with the Scientist and Grunt.
Where are Jessie and James in Saffron City?
Silph Co. Now leave Lavendar Town to the west and cross Route 8 until you get to the guarded gate. The guard will ask for a drink of your Tea and then let you through into Saffron City. Head a little south and west and you’ll run into Jessie and James once again.

How do you beat Team Rocket boss in Celadon City?

Why is Saffron City taken over by Team Rocket?
Saffron City has been taken over completely by Team Rocket. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to enter the once benevolent Silph Company HQ and free it from said Rocket infestation. Before you move on, you may want to pop into the local Gym.
How do you get into the gym in Saffron City?
To get access to the gym, you need to head on further around Saffron City to the Silph Co. offices where you’ll find that Team Rocket is causing trouble. You form a plan with your fellow trainer and Blue and then head up the 11-story building. It’s a bit of a maze, but you can follow along with our walkthrough guide to see where to go.

You can get there by walking behind the Saffron City Gym sign. Team Rocket won’t let you go into the Gym right now. In the Pokémon Center, an Ace Trainer will trade you an Alolan Raichu in exchange for a Raichu. To the left of the Gym, there is a Fighting Dojo.
